We use the QC Excel Add-in to push test cases and sometimes requirements and defects into Quality Center.
With new 18.104.22.168 version of the Add-in, we've found that the field mapping is not retained after the export. Thus, each time we export a spreadsheet to QC, we have to rebuild the field mappings
Needless to say, a little aggravating.
Here's what I found out:
The directory housing the field mappings did not exist: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\XLSTART\TDAddin\ExcellAddin.ini contains the line: task_path=C:\Program Files\MicrosoftOffice\OFFICE11\XLStart\TDAddin\Tes t Case Importer.tst, but the .\TDAddin folder was missing.
Once added, the field mappings saved just fine.
I've tried creating a map that I'd like to distribute to team members so that we use a single way of doing things. However, simply copying the .tst file into the correct directory doesn't seem to work. Is there a way of making these maps Global?
2.1 .Net will be used but isn't the main focus.

9. XP sp 2 on the clients. Red Hat 9 EL on the servers.
I too would like to distribute a single macro to all our client PCs, so am interested if someone makes a suggestion. I am using QC 9.2.
