    Viewing captured bitmaps of results in QC

    Hi All,
    Can any buddy tell how to view the capture bitmaps of the results from QC.
    For example if I run a qtp script from QC then where to look for the bitmaps(I have used Capture Bitmaps)
    I can launch the result report but cant see bitmaps
    Help me

    First of all, I'm not your Buddy, not yet anyway.

    The answer would depend upon what tool you are using to execute the scripts. As I understand it, tool would store the screen grabs in a location that is predefined by the person writing the script. The only way you can get them into QC is by use of the OTA.

    Hi Rich,
    First of all everybody is everybody's buddy.
    And i m udsing QTP for scripts and i m storing the bitmaps in Result folder itsef.
    I want to know where Result folder is stored in QC.

    Result folders are stored in the project repository and, when you use the Reporter, they are downloaded to your client station somewhere in your private temporary directory.

    In the Mercury users knowledge base, you can find a piece of QTP code that will allow you to actually see the bitmaps in the reporter screen, albeit it will only work for the user who run the script.

    By using the QCConnection.CurrentRun.Attachements property (see the OTA programming guide), you also can attach the captured bitmap to the run and see them through the Attachments tab in QC.

    By taking snapshot option in defect lab.It can be work to only Above 8.0 versions.
