We presently have a Quality Center user community of about 30 (We have 29 QC licenses on our QC production server, and 1 on our QC development server). We have 5 BPT licenses for use in production. We have approximately 50 project databases that have been created. Only ONE of these projects presently needs access to BPT. The other 49 projects do not even need to see the BPT module if that were possible.
I was wondering how we might be able to restrict access to this module and make it only available to the one specific project that needs it? This BPT license situation is causing confusion among the users. What is happening is that the first 5 people that sign in to any Quality Center project are utilizing a BPT license. After that, when a user tries to sign in they are receiving a message that "You are not authorized to use a BPT license".
Is there anything that can be done here? Please let me know.
Actually, since you cross posted this everywhere... the solution is to make sure you have QC patched up and then use the customize module access settings to remove BPT from from all groups in all projects but the ones you want.
