I used this more than 10 years back. There were some columns that represent hierarchy of items. It looked like ABBCDEF. It was confusing to look at.
I don't think the AAAABBABC hierarchy nomenclature [ALL_LISTS.AL_ABSOLUTE_PATH] has ever been a requirement for the Excel add-in.
You simply write the hierarchy as you see it: "Parent Folder\Sub Folder" | "Requirement Name" | etc...
