I filtered on a level of test plan.
Went to grid view.
How do I get a listing of Test Plan level on the Tree view and the name of the Plans(scripts) below the branch where I have filtered?
Click the plus icon? Not 100% sure what you're asking, but when I filter in the test plan, I can drill down by hitting the plus icon
Patience is like bread I say.... I ran out of that yesterday.
genke...I need to drill in 3 of 5 levels of test plan.
Then I need a report that shows every test at that level and below.
It does not have to be a report. An out put file would even be better.
genke and world...I'm trying tools/Document Generator.
Is it aware of filter settings on the grid?
I want to go to a level such as this
I want to get the tree path and name of each script in the tree.
I went to grid view and put in a filter by clicking on the column that shows the tree.
I am trying to use the Report Generator. It is working for 5 mins. I do not know if it will reduce the full output by using the filter I set in the grid.
Is there any other way to get the data off of the grid view after I reduce it to show what I want?
Even cut/paste would be good.
How do I get the grid with a filter set to output to Excel?
I think this works:
Go to Grid view
Filter by Subject
Ctrl + a
export to Excel
The test properly gives the name of the script.
Subject shows only one folder higher than the script. I need the full path.
The path column is always empty.
How do I get the full path?
Is your database SQL Server or Oracle?
If it's Oracle you can use SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH to recursively climb up the Subject Tree in an Excel Report.
Otherwise I would use the API so that you can use YOURTEST.Field("TS_SUBJECT").path
... just another Tester ...
