In QC10 I have a change request where I have to implement a condition that - If any of the requirements have some User Stories under them and if requirement status is set as Status = "Ready" , then no further new User Story can be added under that requirement.
Thanks Trudy, for having a look on this. Yes, I was expecting a advise on the workflow front.
I tried in the customization by below code, like if any user clicks on the "New Requirement" button then a check is made for the current requirement status and requirement type:
If (ActionName ="act_new_child_req") and (ActiveModule = "Requirements") then
If Req_Fields.Field(REQ_TYPE).Value = "User Story" and Req_Fields.Field(REQ_STATUS).Value = "ready for delivery" then
msgbox "SOMETHING LIKE : USER STORY WINDOW IS NOT APPEARING OR USER IS NOT ALLOWED TO ADD NEW USER STORY"
My project is not integrated to TFS or any system. It's following the Agile Methodology where they are expecting a condition that " If any of the Requirement is in Ready status then NO further User Stories can be added to this requirement"
