I just verified my audiT_log tables and found a lot of deletions related to Runs
SELECT * FROM AUDIT_LOG where au_action = 'delete' and au_entity_type = 'run'
But we cannot delete runs in our project . We had a software installed that allows runs , defects not to be deleted . But why I am seeing lot of deletions related to Runs in logs tale . Is au_entity_type "RUN" is really related to Test Runs ?
"We had a software installed that allows runs , defects not to be deleted "
What software did you install? Or did you customize your workflow code to implement this restriction?
If you customized the workflow, that would not affect what could be done if somebody used the OTA API, which bypasses workflow code.
I found through experimentation that if I start a Run of a Test Instance by clicking Run With Manual Runner, and then click Cancel Run, and respond "no" to the pop-up asking if I want to save the run, then that results in a DELETE RUN record in the AUDIT_LOG table. That could explain your situation.
