Before we moved to Windows 7 from Windows XP we were able to remote launch QTP tests from Quality Center. By remote launch I mean be able to use Quality Center to request a QTP test be run on a remote PC (not the PC that QC is running on).
Since going to Windows 7 we have not been able to do this. We can run a test locally - ie start ALM11 and choose Run in a test lab instance of a QTP test - Run all tests locally.
But we can not get ALM11 to start a test on a remote workstation.
Has any users out there had sucess in doing this on ALM11 under Windows 7.
If so what sort of security features from windows 7 did you have to turn off?

We successfully run QTP v11 tests stored in QC against Windows 7 remote workstations all the time.
When you try to do this, what messages are you getting back?

We get "The RPC server is unavailable" errors.
I notice that attempting to execute remotely causes the Windows Firewall to trigger on the remote machine. Do you have windows firewall on? Did you add any exceptions into your Windows Firewall? What were they?
