I want to generated test script (just commennt) for the manual Test cases from test steps pane within QC, but generate test script listbox is disabled.
I wonder if this is a patch issue ? I can save tests in QTP to QC server, I am using QTP 11 and already installed QC QTP 11 and I can see secripts that already written trought QTP ans saved in QC Test Plan.
but reverse of this is disabled, I can not generate dummy script from the QC.
Re: Why generate script listbox is disabled in QC ?
If your OS is XP then you are running a 32 bit (vs. 64 bit) operating system.
One problem you may be having is that the Add-in you installed from the QTP media is for ALM QC - that's QC v11, and you're running only v10. You should uninstall that Add-in and install the one that will work with QC v10. Those Add-ins come from an HP server that you get to through your QC Add-ins page. I followed the links for QC v10 which lead me here: http://update.external.hp.com/qualit...qtp/index.html
It lists an add-in for QTP v10 and one for QTP v11, so of course you want the one for QTP v11.
As Christian suggested, it may also be a permission issue. A Project Administrator can check what user groups you belong to and check the permissions for that user group to see if you're access has been cut off that way.
Hope this helps.
