I'm starting in QC and I don't know if I use it corretly.
I wrote some test plans, linked to a requirement and I execute tests in test labs.
After that, I wrote another requirement and I would like to link existing test plan to this requirement (non regression).
Here is my problem : On the new requirement with the old test plan, the "Entity status" (Test coverage) has the old value of the old test executed.
Is it possible to have a "No Run status" on the test coverage because it's a new instance to test ?
No. If you link a requirement to a test case, the Entity Status/Coverage Status will reflect the execution status of that test case. In this scenario, you would need to make a copy of the test case, create a new instance of that test case in the Test Lab, and link the requirement to the new copy of the test case. Then to reflect execution status in the future, you would have to execute the new instance of the test case that you created in the test lab.
There may be other ways to do this with Releases and Cycles in the Management model.
