Has anybody been successful in getting the RunTestSetEXE utility (from HP's KB article KM191021) with ALM QC v11 SP3? When I try it, an error is reported - "Class no registered". This error s thrown by the statement:
We found our issue. We have a "production" environment and a "test" environment. Both are on ALM QC v11, but different patch levels. We found that it is necessary to be very careful to ensure that the files on your system are all from one QC system. In our case we had logged into QC system A, run the client registration from system A, run the Connectivity add-in from system A. But then we visited the QC login page on system B. Even though we didn't actually login to QC on system B, the files downloaded from the login page were enough to mess things up. So, we went back to System A and got all the files again and ran the Registration and Connectivity processes, and the program started working.
Unfortunately, the error messages it provides at completely unhelpful. I am re-writing the code to be more robust and provide more informative error messages.
I've also found a handful of limitations. It won't work if you specify a Test Set Folder where the folder names include spaces. Nor will it work if you specify a Test Set where the test set name includes spaces. It also fails with cryptic messages if you inadvertently specify a test set that has no test instances or has only Manual Type test instances.
