I have the following requirement of pre-populating the values from the list based on the project.
like let us say.
I have field called Project and it has a look up list when ever a user creates a new defect it is automatically filled with the project let us 'Project A' from the list, instead of presenting a blank space to the user.
I hope i am clear about it.
any suggestions please, I think i have to make some changes in the workflow, can someone point me in the right direction.
Refer to the Administrator Guide. There is an entire section to the guide devoted to customizing workflows which includes examples. Examples that might be helpful to us in this case would be "Changing a field Based on the User Group" or "Changing a Field Based on Another Field".
