Create a report \"defects by requirement\"
Need your help with generating a report using QC 10.
we have linked all our test cases (in test plan) to requirements & we raise defects by failing test cases-so all defects are properly linked to test cases and so to requirements.
How can I get the report of number of defects by requirement?
Go to requirement--select a requirement->right click-> select "Requirement tracability"--it opens a window-->on right side if I click on linked defects-->it shows me all the linked defects for that requirement.
Is there a way I can get all these in a graph/excel sheet?
1. the above one is the first requirement.
2. second one is if I can list the defects by status like open/total
3. if I can further get this by severity.
Manually I am able to count and get all this info...but it is very cumbersome.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Re: Create a report \"defects by requirement\"
If you have excel reports it would be pretty easy to generate that way, similarly if you have db access.
Otherwise you could use the OTA (look for the doco under Help -> Documentation library)
