Updates in Test Plan be reflected in Test Lab? ...
We just upgraded to QC11 from QC9. A tester has a test case in the test plan, he added it to the test lab. When he updates and adds new steps to the item in the test plan, we are not seeing the updates in the test lab. Is that normal or correct?
I think they're linked correctly because when in the test lab, if I right-click and choose "Go to Test in Test Plan Tree" I am taken back to the proper place in the test plan.
Do I need to do something to force some kind of update or refresh?

When you say you aren't seeing the updates (new steps added to test case in Test Plan) in the Test Lab, exactly where are you looking for those steps in the Test Lab?
When a test case is added to a test set in the Test Lab, at that point all that has been recreated is a link between the test set and the test case (a.k.a. creating a "test instance"). When you Run the test then that link is followed back to the test plan and a copy of the test steps at that moment in time is copied into a new record - a Run record. The steps in an existing Run record will not be updated by changes in the corresponding test case in the Test Plan. Changes to steps in the Test Plan will become visible in the Test Lab the next time a new Run of the test is started.
