QTP via QC is not identifying activex objects
I made a qtp script that opens a 2nd browser that contains a pdf reader. I had to use an ActiveX add in to identify the PDF reader. The script runs smoothly if I run it dirrectly from QC. However, all navigation with the ActiveX object starts to fail if i run it through QC. The error that I'm getting is:
Cannot find the "AVPageView" object's parent "Adobe PDF Reader" (class ActiveX). Verify that parent properties match an object currently displayed in your application.
I am not sure if it has something to do with how the remote agent sets the environment, again because i dont encounter this problem if im running the script directly through QTP.
Re: QTP via QC is not identifying activex objects
Dont use Active X add-in, then it will work.
Your PDF object should be like Browser("ABC").Page("ABC").WinObject("AVPageView") in OR
If you use ActiveX it will fail to identify.
