I am currently reviewing standards between software projects in QC9. I am trying to align all projects on areas such as:
User group permissions
Visible fields
Work Flow Scripts etc...

One of the areas I'm trying to standardize is the Field History in the Defects Module. Currently some fields have history turned on, some do not, and this varies from project to project.

I would like to turn field history on for a total of 14 fields per project. I would then apply this to 7 projects. Can anybody advise me on how much of an overhead this places on the backend database over time? These projects would typically be kept live over 2 - 4 year periods.
