I know this is an odd place to ask this, but I also know that a lot of QC users are 'reluctant' users.
My organisation currently uses QC 8, with 30 licenses. We use it mainly for manual testing and defects tracking. We pass the defects to our IT service providers for resolution. They also have access to QC to update incidents as they are progressed, but they usually track the defects on their own internal systems and update QC as required. Our users are spread over multiple sites. I like the audit trails and reporting in QC, as well as the customization available, but am irritated by the lack of customization available in key areas (e.g. emails) and general clunkiness.
We are looking to upgrade QC, as 8 is now out of support, and I was wondering if there is a cheaper product that can meet our requirements. Is there something that supports migration of QC scripts?

Re: QC alternative?
Not sure about any alternate complete solution. you can go for multiple for tools and integrate them for complete suite.
By the way, can you example some customization you are not able to perform in QC? I can see QC is extensively customizable.
