QC Defects - can we have 2 \"New Defect\" forms?
We currently run 2 very different projects which have very different requirements when it comes to managing defects (different fields). Up until now we've differentiated between the two by creating 2 QC projects and customising the 'new defect' form for each project.
I was wondering if it was possible to have a single 'New Defect' form that had for example a new customised drop down field in which I could select either project1 or project2; then dependent on the value selected the rest of the fields on the current 'new defect' form would change/update to reflect the fields associated with that project.
Is this possible in QC?
If it is possible, it is an easy solution or is it likely impact/restrict/constain our current defect process?
Any thoughts welcome.
Re: QC Defects - can we have 2 \"New Defect\" forms?
If i understand it right. It is definitly possible. You create a custom field in new defect which will ask the user to pick the right project than you can write a code in scrit editor. based on that selection you can make some fields visible and some invisible. hope this helps
