Upgrading from 9.2 to 10, I did a trial installation of the 10 files and also applied a patch.
Then uninstalled both in reverse order - patch, then 10.
Now, I'm trying to do the 'real' installation and keep getting this message "HP Quality Center already exists on this computer".
The installation cannot proceed.
I've removed the associated Program Files folders
I've removed all references to Quality Center, Mercury Interactive, ..., from registry
Re: HP Quality Center already exists on this computer
Christian. Thanks for the help.
Here's where I'm at now.
Past the QC already exists problem.
I copied the repository file structure from old H/W to new H/W, putting it at C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Quality Center\repository
Modified C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Quality Center\repository\qc\dbcon and dbid files to point to the new DB server/location
In existing qasiteadmin_db schema, updated DBSERVERS.DB_CONNSTR_FORMAT to point to the new DB server/location
Also updated APPSERVERS.TD_SERVER_NAME, .TD_IP_ADDRESS, .TD_LOG_PATH to point to the new APP server/location
I have turned on two of the validation bypass flags, so currently running as: setup -W handleExistingInstallationSequence.active=false -W repositoryValidator.active=false
Ran install using copy of qcsiteadmin_db
New error message: Failed to fetch repository path from old SA schema qcsiteadmin_db
