I seem to be missing the "comment box resize bar" when viewing a defect in it's own window. Because of this, I cannot view comments, or see what I am typing when trying to add a comment.
This issue appears for myself (TDADMIN) and a few other users. It does not happen for everyone.
Comments work just fine in the Defect grid view.
Note: no workflow modifications have been made in the past few days, so I do not know what could have caused this.

Resize the main Defect window, if it is already full screen make it windowed and resize it till teh bars show up. we have had the same issues, it is somehting wrong with the way the window renders. nothing one can do.
