No Blank Password Allowed
The following code I am working with, but when try to login then it will pop up a message based on the code below with a encrypted password even though there is no password. How can that be? The code does not work for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. See attached screen shot of msgbox.
Function CanLogin(DomainName, ProjectName, UserName)
On Error Resume Next
If TDConnection.Password = "" Then
MsgBox "Your user id does not have any password defined. Please contact the project administrator.", 0, "Error"
Project_CanLogin = False
ElseIf Len(TDConnection.Password) < 8 Then
MsgBox "Your password length is too short. You have to change your password now and log in again.", 0, "Error"
CanLogin = False
CanLogin = True
On Error GoTo 0
End Function
Re: No Blank Password Allowed
If so, you need to be on patch level 13 and set the following variable in Site Admin to Y
New parameter: DISABLE_PASSWORD_OTA_ENCRYPTION
Possible values: Y/N
Default value: N
Description: Enables users to use the unencrypted Password property from the TDConnection object in OTA. If set to ‘Y’ - the password property is not encrypted.
