Test Execution report from two folders in test lab
I want to generate a execution report based on Total number of test cases passed, failed and Not Run.
I know how to generate it for single folder in Test Lab. But our situation is bit different.
Normally we create separate folder (by copy paste) in test lab for each build. Each folder will have same set of test cases. Only difference is each folder will have execution status with respect to each build.
Example - Assume we have 10 TCs to execute.
In Test Lab, we created a folder having 10 TCs. We executed say first 4 Tcs on first build
Now we receive second build from Dev team. We copy-paste folder in test lab to create duplicate folder with different build name.
We executed next 2 TCs on second build.
Now when I generate report, I want a consolidated report from two folders we created in Test Lab. We should get report as 6 TCs passed and 4 Not Run.
Is it possible to generate such reports using graphs or excel generated report?
Re: Test Execution report from two folders in test lab
The easy way to generate that is to create a report out of the Test PLAN module.
The 'Execution Status' value from the Test Plan module will give you the most recent run result of any instance of that design test .. which means you'll see 6 'Passed' and 4 'No Run' in your above scenario.
The downside is that it won't be grouped by build (test set).
