I have installed the add-in - but it is very tedious to prepare the word document for upload.
Does anybody have experiences or tips as of:
- are there any known issues with the word macro? I heard soemwhere that the size of documents is limited to seomthing small...
- I keep hearing that because the marking of the requirements is so tedious, the word macro is not really usable - but what to do instead if you have to start with Word and end with HP QC?
To avoid many problems, uninstall the Word Add-in and use the Excel Add-in instead.
If you have macro writing skills available, you can often convert word to excel by looking at clues in the word format to determine resulting excel columns. If the word document is updated from an external source, this format is unlikely to change, so the excel conversion will still work for updates too, unlike the QC tags that must be re-applied each time.
