QC10 and Version Control -- Impact on the db
We currently have QC 9.2 running on Oracle 9i with no version control facilities. Our project data is stored in the file repository, NOT in the database.
We plan to upgrade to QC 10 and make use of the VC in the new release in the first part of 2010, but don't know what to budget or expect for hardware.
Clearly in an environment where every change to a test is tracked in the database there is going to be more database activity and more database storage requried. But it's hard for us to give any meaningful prediction of how much more space will be needed for the database in release 10.
Can anybody give me any indication of how much growth they experienced in their database once they moved from QC 9.2 to QC 10?
