    QC Component Loading

Can some pls help with the below QC querry...

when ever we open the QC in a browser it is loading all those components each and every time instead of for the first time only for everyone... some times it is throwing an error message as "components were not downloaded successfully"... is there any settings we need to make in the QC server or browser to avoid this... Please let me know...

Ummm... Has this been the case all along? Have you applied any patches recently? What version are you running?

    Re: QC Component Loading

    I have some questions:
    - are you able to work with QC despite of the error message?
    - does this problem occur for all users or only for some?
    - does this problem also occur when you login as an admin into the PC (not QC)?

    Fride,

    Answers for ur question below...

    - are you able to work with QC despite of the error message?
Yes, once I get the error messages then I had to close that browser and open another one to access QC.. but everytime it tries to install those components..

    - does this problem occur for all users or only for some?
It seems like it is happening with all the users..

    - does this problem also occur when you login as an admin into the PC (not QC)?
Yes even I logged in as admin into PC

    Re: QC Component Loading

    Steps:

    1. Login to system with admin privilages
    2. Connect to VPN if you have to connect to clients network (Opctional)
    3. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive\Quality Center
    4. delete all .dll and agent files including "Quality Center" folder
    5. Open browser and enter url...

Once QC is installed go to BPT and try to add a snap shot in "Snap shot" tab.. if still you are getting any error...

Then tepeat above steps 1 to 4 and go to Regedit and clean all registry files for QC..

    Repeat step 5.
