QC - Dashoard query on user defined field
Is there a way to minimize dashboard KPI/Portal configuration when a KPI query is based on user defined fields?
In QC dashboard when a KPI is based on user defined fields (e.g Root cause, test stage - SIT, UAT) etc. The query should specify the table and column name explictly. e.g: SELECT ?Defects.Severity?,count(*) as value --count(*) as value
FROM td.BUG as Defect--, --?Defects?
WHERE Defect.BG_USER_02 = 'SIT'
Here BG_USER_02 represents test stage - user defined field.
Since the column name can change from project to project.Like,
Project 1 - Test stage = BG_USER_02
Project 2 - Test stage = BG_USER_03
There has to be different implementation of the same KPI for each project. Is there a way to avoid this? and Instead map the user-defefined fields to a alias name at a single location.
Re: QC - Dashoard query on user defined field
Have you tried adding OR to the SQL?
select count(severity) as value from td.bug
where bg_user_02 = 'SIT' or bg_user_03 = 'SIT'
