Adding User.Username at Step Level
Does anyone know if it is possible to add the username of the person who exectuted a step at step level.
End to End Tests can be executed by mulitple people so we need to know who executed each particular one.
I have tried the following code:
On Error Resume Next
Step_Fields("ST_USER_07").Value = User.UserName
On Error GoTo 0
but after you save the run it wants to update the test plan. I do not want it do do this. I would like it to act as if it was updating the actual result.
Re: Adding User.Username at Step Level
Sorry, that's the way the customization of step fields has been designed: when you add a user defined field to a step,it is added to both the design steps and the run steps ; when you update a run step, it asks if you want to update the corresponding design step.
I would suggest that you raise an enhancement request on the HP support site.
Meanwhile, you can try to use the actual result field, which is the only run step field that does not have a design step field counterpart. Something like this could do the trick in the ManualRun_Step_CanPost function:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
Step_Fields("ST_ACTUAL").Value= Replace (Step_Fields("ST_ACTUAL").Value, _
"<br>Last user : " & User.UserName & "</body></html>")
