Test Lab tree refreshing slow?
since we have been migrating our QC 9.2 (Patch 0) project onto another system (win2003), the tree-view control in test lab appears very slowly and jerky. Each test set-folder and test-set itself can be watched while its being attached to the tree contol by opening test lab... CPU-Load on the server is at 5% avg. does anyone know how to speed up this?
Re: Test Lab tree refreshing slow?
I have a had a similar issue. When opening up Test Plan or Test Lab, it would go so slow I would see "get simple key" at the bottom of the page. I opened a ticket with HP and they said it was due to a "null value on the database". They had me run some SQL statements against the project database. Basically it removed the '0' that were in the fields.
First they had me run this
Could you follow this steps please
1) Backup the project database/schema before running the SQL queries
2) Run these two sql Queries
a) update cycle set cy_assign_rcyc=NULL where cy_assign_rcyc=0
b) update cycle set cy_request_id=NULL where cy_request_id=0
3) log out then back into the project
the rapid 'GetSimpleKeyEntity' events should subside
Then since it didn't clear up, they had me run this,
1) backup the database
2) run the following SQL statements against the project database
UPDATE BUG SET BG_DETECTED_IN_REL = NULL WHERE BG_DETECTED_IN_REL = 0
UPDATE BUG SET BG_DETECTED_IN_RCYC = NULL WHERE BG_DETECTED_IN_RCYC = 0
UPDATE BUG SET BG_TARGET_REL = NULL WHERE BG_TARGET_REL = 0
UPDATE BUG SET BG_TARGET_RCYC = NULL WHERE BG_TARGET_RCYC = 0
UPDATE CYCL_FOLD SET CF_ASSIGN_RCYC = NULL WHERE CF_ASSIGN_RCYC = 0
UPDATE CYCLE SET CY_ASSIGN_RCYC = NULL WHERE CY_ASSIGN_RCYC = 0
UPDATE TESTCYCL SET TC_ASSIGN_RCYC = NULL WHERE TC_ASSIGN_RCYC = 0
UPDATE REQ SET RQ_TARGET_REL = NULL WHERE RQ_TARGET_REL = 0
UPDATE REQ SET RQ_TARGET_RCYC = NULL WHERE RQ_TARGET_RCYC = 0
Hope it helps,
