Re: Need to add 2 status in Defect module

    Hi,
Ok, so login to QC, not the admin site, once in your project in the top right corner is a menu, click on "Tools" then "customize". Once the Project Cusomization page is displayed selct "Project Lists" link. In the "List" drop down select "Bug Status", you should now see a list of the 6 standard items you mentioned.
Down the bottom of that page is a button "Add new item", click on that and the "new item" dialog will be displayed, type in the new status you want to add and then click Ok. Repeat this for the second new status. Then in the bottom right corner select 'Save'. Top right corner click "Return".
You are all finished and should now see the new status.

If for some reason you do not see the "Tools -> cusomtize" menu items in the first steps, you have not been granted permission to customize the project and need to tak to your site admin to have your permissions changed.

Re: Need to add 2 status in Defect module

    IMPORTANT:

The default user groups in QC have specific restrictions on which statuses members of the group can set, and from which statuses they can set them.

If you are adding to the status list, you also need to make new groups and put your users in those (since you cannot edit the default groups), and make sure that the groups have appropriate permissions to use the new status values.
