Reducing the size of the QC Repository
We have one QC project where the QC repository is very large probably due to lots of QTP test runs. We have deleted some folders, test sets, and test runs in QC Test Lab but have not seen a reduction in the size of the 'tests' folder in the repository. It is currently about 150GB. Am I looking in the correct folder 'tests' in the repository?
Re: Reducing the size of the QC Repository
Removing the QC entities (test sets, test instances and runs) will not remove the results subdirectories that are created by QTP because QC has no knowledge of these subdirectories. It's only when you remove the test (in Test Plan) that QC will delete the test directory and thus all results subdirectories. But, of course, you also loose the test script...
You should use the Test Results Deletion Tool to delete the results subdirectories. You can even run that tool from the command line.
