I've stopped using IE with QC and now use the Quality Center Explorer, it's browser independent and works fine. My concern was that it wouldn't do the intergration with MSWord since it wasn't explorer.
The QC Explorer works fine, try that

I have Quality Center running fine on a desktop with IE8 installed. I installed IE8 on my laptop and I can not get it to launch the Quality Center login screen. I'm trying to figure out why it works on one machine and not another. All IE settings are the same on both computers. The other thing I can't figure out is why it's taking HP so long to get this supported. So many corporations are already moving to IE8.

IE 8 is not a supported browser version for QC. I'm even on the latest QC v10 and IE 8 is still not listed. I installed patch 2 yesterday for QC10 and they still don't list IE8 as a supported browser. Unfortunately their development team has always been really slow at upgrading its support to the latest major versions of IE or Windows. Not sure what their problem is. The client is even heavier now with QC10 than ever before. So much for a web based app.
