When i try to enter a selection of tests into a Test case I get this error
Failed to post TSTest
clicking ok brings in some of the tests, but only up to 90
Is there a limit to how many tests you can have in 1 test case?
If so can you change it
Or should i think about splitting the tests into more sets?
I just added 120 (60 manual and 60 automated, QC 9.2) tests to the one test set. AFAIK there isn't any limitation on quantity of the tests under test set provided by QC.
So possible you hjave some limitation at the workflow or you have some special tests.
Could you provide more info about your tests?
i'm using 9.0 if that's any difference?
not going into too many details;
Testing a clinical system
The test set produced is for the documentation functionality - of which there are 200+ types of document
I could break it down by specialty...
Adding 120 tests to QC 9.0 passed successfuly too (30 manual, 90 automated)...
But I worked only with empty tests. So try to add empty tests into testset in your project.
a 'Failed to Post' message should generate a row in the QcLog - get your QC admin to pull the log for you and have a look through - perhaps you've run out of room in your DB or FS.
... just another Tester ...
i'm the admin, tester, everything. Although i haven't received proper training on QC
where would the logs be?
There you should download "Client Logs Configuration Tool".
I get an exception HTTP 500
not having much luck!
Just been having a play...
it seems the error only occurs when adding all the tests in one go. If I choose all the tests i require in smaller chunks, i can add all 291 tests.
its an empty project in ALM and I am adding a single test in test set and getting the same error
