I study business economics and write my diploma thesis about the introduction of the HP Quality Center at Audi.
A small part of my job is to implement an automail function. If a defect wasn't worked on longer than 5 days a reminder email must be sent to the developer (automatically).
I use the version 9.2
Is it generally possible?
As I know there isn't way to do this by standart functionality.
But you could try some trick. In the workflow there is "CanLogin" function. Using "UserName" you could obtain list with all defects assigned on those developer, with proper status and creation date. So for each of this defect you could send mail.
thank you for your fast answer. But it is unfortunately not the wanted response.
An Email or a popup should send/open automatically on the developers screen, when he didn't worked on a defect since 5 days.
Another example:A tester should receive an email or a popup should appear, when the status is fixed an he hasn't made an retest since 5 days.
Can't I achieve this by adding code in the skript editor?
Thank you for your answer in advance!
Well, a pop-up wouldn't be too difficult. In the Defects_EnterModule section of the workflow script, use a database query to check if the logged in user has any defects that they haven't worked on in 5 days, then pop-up a message with the defect id(s). You would need something in the defect to check when a ticket was last "worked on" of course.
An email would be a little trickier, since you'd want to make sure you don't send mutiple emails every day.
