Exporting QTP Scripts from Quality Center
Hey Guys--First apologies if this question was already asked. I tried to search but didn't see anything that was relevant.
Just started at a new company and they have a set of QTP scripts stored in Quality Center 9.0. These scripts have vbs libraries, recovery scenarios, and XLS datatable spreadsheets attached to them in quality center.
We are trying to remove just these cases from QC 9.0 and put them into a QC 9.2 project on another server & DB.
I've tried saving these cases out to my local machine but when I do that, and open the cases without QC connectivity all of the references are broken.
Is there a way to export these with all the referenced intact?
Thanks in advance,
Re: Exporting QTP Scripts from Quality Center
You can give this a try:
1. In Site Admin, point your 9.2 QC to the 9.0 database.
2. Select your project containing the scripts and note that the connection string points to the 9.0 database.
3. In 9.2, create a copy of this project and point this copy to the 9.2 database. Also, the copy project should have a different name than the source project.
4. When you get to it, select "Store project's repository in the database"
