Command Objects through API. Performance problems?
I am creating automated reports using the OTA TD API Command Object. The scripts that perform these queries are housed on the same server as the server hosting QC itself.
Will these reports cause memory/performance spikes on the server?
Re: Command Objects through API. Performance problems?
Try it and see. It can certainly be a problem when you hit the db direct. Write some really, really bad SQL. Run it both on the db direct and via the API and compare response times for real users. Let us know the result. We've had problems in the past so our QC admin cut off db access completely before I got here so I've not had the chance.
