BPT - how to set component environment variables?
In BPT, how does one define / edit Environment variables?
When I convert my existing QTP actions into business components, Those with environment variables show the user-defined variables, but the add / delete / edit buttons are greyed out under the parameters tab in the individual component areas, and the application area does not appear to be able to create / modify environment variables.
The only thing the manual mentions is using an external variable file, but (again) the manual seems to indicate that to link the file requires using the Environment tab (which is read-only for my business components!)
Where am I going astray? I'm sure there is something obvious that I am missing, but cannot tell what it is for the life of me.
Thanks for helping!
Re: BPT - how to set component environment variables?
I believe that Environment Variables are not supported by BPT. You only have them for scripted components for compatibility.
Business Components do not use environment variables.
You can replace the environment variables by BPT run time parameters.
