Care to quantify that statement? What are the reasons why you feel it isn't a good idea to automate SAP?

I just wanted to know the SAP testing using automated tools is a good choice or not?

It depends. Like any choice on whether to automate or not, there are multiple questions you need to ask?
Do you have the expertise? Or are you willing to invest to get that expertise?
Do you have tools which will work, or are you willing to purchase them?
Do you have adequate resource bandwidth to allow the creation, maintenance and execution of automated tests? You will need to compare this to the cost of what it would take or is taking you to do it manually.
Is management on board with the extra work and cost it would take to make the step to automate?
We have automated the HR side of our SAP installation and currently working through the Finance side of the house now. We had a tool in house that would automate SAP, but also purchased accelerators to allow us a quicker turn around on our automation tasks. To us it has been worth it, but the plan was thought out well and there is the support structure on both the QA and business side to ensure it works well for us.
Now if you are asking if it is a good choice for you to focus on this type of automation personally to gain a higher position in your current company, or a new position elsewhere,......no one can answer that but you.
