I'm working in a contract - to- hire position. The company for which I'm working is a media based company and I'm working as a QA tester in their IT section.
My manager is a bit weird by nature.Right now I dont have much of work.I want to do something so that I get acknowledged.
I'm in the process of exploring CMMI.But I dont know how much it is going to help me.My manager never listens to things. If I go with some suggestiong he never pays any attention to it.I'm not able to handle this situation.
Can anyone help me on this???
Any hep would be highly appreciated.
I used weird because at time my manager is very nice to me and sometime he acts in a different fashion.Whenever he assigns me something which isnt a part of QA / QC still I do it bacause I feel learning is never a waste.and I try to give my best.
But if you feel its a wrong way of presenting then I beg your pardon.
Correct me if i'm wrong but I think what brentpane meant by his statement "Isn't weird standard in IT?" actually meant isnt "wierd" a standard in IT industry. Dont we see alot of weird stuff going on around us day in and day out? Atleast i do!
So Sandler you didnt have to take anything personally

I would call that "moody." And unless your manager ONLY acts moody towards YOU, and is normal to everyone else, you'll have to learn to live with it or quit. (I had a boss like that, and I was relieved when she transferred to a different role and location). If the moodiness is only aimed at you, then I think you need to examine your OWN behavior.
