I'm in the process of revising the existing QA job descriptions for my automation team. They currently have the standard manual testing job descriptions with minor changes that mention automation.
The goal of this is not only to give the team an accurate representation of their job, but to move the pay grades for those positions into a development pay grade.
If anyone has automation based job descriptions that they would be willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm looking for multiple levels - please don't flame me for the use of the word Engineer, that is company standard for all R&D positions:
SR Automation Engineer
Principal Automation Engineer
Well it maybe depend on what does automation mean in your context, but I would like to ask why don't you simply take your company development position names and descriptions and make minor changes that mention testing and test automation tools as well as add “test” in front of specifications (or any other naming used there).
P.S. Shouldn’t this thread be in automated testing forum?
