With 2 years experience there are lots of things you could explore - have you learned automation? Is there an availability to in your shop? Are there areas of testing you'd like to focus on? A particular type of application you'd be interested in learning more about and working with?
Testing is no different than any career - there are countless paths, and many different things that you can do. For some it's a path that leads to development down the line; others are testers for their entire career - by choice!
You just have to decide what sorts of things you'd like to pursue and then learn more about them and find a way to get further down those paths.
If you're having concerns or are unsure, you might sit down with your manager to see what different growth paths are available within your company now. If they don't satisfy you long-term, then you could explore other opportunities or ideas and see if they did.
Want to share my ideas here, as I am also in the same phase (2 yrs exp)of learning. So many things are there to learn but you should plan properly.
- Try to get enough exposure on QA & testing process.
- Develop automation skills.
- Concentrate on other crucial phases of testing which you might not aware of.
- If you have sufficient time try to do any valuable Certifications which will become an added advantage.
- Try to take part in test strategies and test spec creations
If you have any other ideas you are always welcome.
