Testing with Unix
Most of my testing experience has been testing on Windows based apps where you don't test the O/S, but was wondering if testing on Unix is different, is Unix just another platform where you need to be able to navigate the operating system or is there some form of Unix scripting involved?
Re: Testing with Unix
Depends what your testing.
"where you don't test the O/S" if its relevant you do !
Many of the Automated test tools have agents for unix, in fact for proper load testing often Windows boxes don't have the grunt required.
What I find amusing about your question is that most popular scripting languages came from Unix.
