Niroshana - titles depend on the company. I personally don't see how an Analyst would be higher than an Engineer, but then that title has been watered down over the last few years just like a lot of things.
qualityfellas - not knowing your education background it is difficult to give you an answer to where you would fit, and career paths change from company to company just as much as the job titles.
You would pretty much enter the field as a manual tester to learn the basics and principles of what is the correct way to perform QA/QC. From that point you can branch out into the more technical testing areas, slowly move into Test Automation, or any other opportunity the company you are employed at places for a QA/QC person. I've been employed by 6 companies over the years, and each one offered me something completely different than the previous in terms of how my carer path would progress if I stayed.
