If anyone asks you that write test cases for uninstallation of an appliction which is installed on you PC, Your Pc have OS Win XP.
What you guys think....i fumbled when at a moment one asked me and was not able to answer proper way (infact not answered at all [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] )

If the install and uninstall of a software is being tested then Test Cases for both the install and unistall would be written.

Surely you've removed some application(s) from your own PC right?
What do you expect to happen when you do?
There is a good start for test cases.
You are right, Now a days i am preparing for interview or rather working on my skills to improve.
But still i didn't get the clear idea how to write test cases for uninstalling any application.
What i think is like this
1. windows run (windows key +R )-->Type appwiz.cpl-->Add/Remove Programm window will open-->check your installed software is there or not.
2. windows Run-->type regedit-->searchin my computer registry is installed software have registry entry present (both before and after uninstallation.
Write a test case on what is supposed to happen during an Install (add files, modify/overwrite files, modify registry, etc.). Then write a test case that is the antithesis of it (reverse the process).
There are multiple combinations / scenarios, but you get the basic idea. Right?
