Could any one let me know about " Use Cases" and Feature Specs.. I have been working as a QA but these terms hardly comes to us as we go ahead with the CR's and Specifications from our clients for writting Test cases ,Test Plans, Test Strategy etc.
Are these things practically used in todays Testing world or it has just remained in Papers. If Yes, Please explain me the two terms along with their usage in the field of Testing..
Re: Use Case
Use Cases and specs are widely used! Accuracy and maintenance of them represent a different story.

Given that this tells you what a use case is, can you now tell the audience here how that differs from a feature spec? What are some of your ideas for feature specs? If you purchased a new vehicle, what features would you like it to include?
Re: Use Case
I have used them fairly frequently to clarify what clients will state are "requirements." Defining by using an example can (not will) help people see that what they said was perhaps not quite what was meant.
I use them most often when wearing my BA hat and am attempting to clarify requirements. Once in a great while, for example during or following a requirements document inspection, I may use them wearing my QA hat.
