    Feedback on expected result

    Hi All,

Would really appreciate if somebody could help me on the expected result section of my test case. I am not sure if the expected result sentences are framed in the correct tense. My Test Case looks like this:-

    Test Case Name: ImgInteraction
    Test Case #: ImgInter-01

    Steps:
    1. Rollover on the image
    2. Click and drag the image
    3. Drag and release the image on correct target

    Expected Result:
    1. The rollover state of the image is visible
    2. The mouse pointer changes to an open hand
    3. The down state of the image is visible
    4. The mouse pointer changes to a closed hand
    5. image snaps into the target and

    Re: Feedback on expected result

    I agree with Lynne.

The format you are using makes it hard to tell what is expected here.

Did you intend that these 5 expected results should be observed for each individual step?

Or, are these results expected only after the user performs all 3 steps.

And, number 5 is an incomplete sentence.

    Re: Feedback on expected result

Thank you all for taking interest in my topic and answering my query.

Lynne and Joe, I agree with you. The format makes it hard to tell what is expected. However this was just a small part of my test case, I have actually written the test case in an excel sheet.

Sorry about the incomplete sentence I was trying rush out of office when I had posted this topic thus the incomplete sentence.

Joe, you made my day by your answer. I had already sent a couple of test cases to the client and was worried about the tense used.

    Thanks again.
