What is the difference between QA analyst and QA tester. I am new to testing field. I was offered a QA analyst job which is purely manual. Is it different from Testing?
What is the job description? If it is what you expected and you are qualified to do the job, the difference becomes irrelevant - correct?
In most companies the HR dept assigns job titles and they differ from company to company. As Jake advised look at the Job description and the skills they are looking for.

it seems funny but out of the 7 people that interviewed me not even one told me about job description. All I know is its not a testing job its lke QA analyst which is what I was told. I was more confused after that
Did you ask any of the 7 people who interviewed you what the job entailed?
Interviews are usually a 2-way street - the interviewee asks questions to determine if position is the right one and if the company is one that they will be comfortable working for.
If you have been offered the position ask to see the job description of the position - this hopefully will give you the information you need.
If not accept the job and post back here in 6 months and let us know what a QA Analyst is at the company where you work.
Lynne is right QA Analyst may be the tester who buys/fetches the donuts and coffee for the rest of QA. If you don't ask, you won't know!

In that case - Rich, can I be your QA Analyst?
Since testing is dynamic analysis of a piece of software every tester is an analyst 8)
Testing also consists of static analyses.
