I'm interested in finding out if there are any testers out there who have been involved with Credit Card testing, apart from myself that is!
I ask as I'm looking to share ideas to help improve my own approach.
I'm not interested in hacking credit cards
I have a test management slant to my interests - but I've spent many years working with MasterCard, VISA, etc, completing certification, functional and system integration projects..oh and Chip & PIN implementations in the UK.
So if anybody's interested maybe we can get enough responses to create a new forum??
Steve, many of the tests my group executes are centered around electronic payment (credit cards and gift cards). Add to it the PCI compliance requirements now, and I'd be interested in forum for discussion.
PCI compliance (acquirer side) is something that I've not been involved in, directly, as I'm more on the payment scheme/issuer side. But I have done ATM Acquirer work in the past and have a fair understanding of (physical/logical) security.
I notice from your profile that you're based in the USA - can you tell me if the states are looking into implementing Chip & PIN either acquirer or issuer?
Steve, I'm not a definitive expert regarding electronic payment, but in what we've been seeing as PCI requirements (which drives the way we do business) I have NOT seen a broad shift for implementing Chip or PIN for the acquirer side. And, since I have about .01% experience with issuer side, I really can't answer the question from that perspective.
