Web based Document Repository
I've had a quick scout around the forums, but nothing has grabbed me as the answer to my problem.
What I am looking for are some recommendations for web based document repository tools. We are currently using ClearCase for code management, but this is way over the top when in comes to test and other project documentation.
Ideally we need some kind of relatively inexpensive (most things must be relatively inexpensive compared to ClearCase I guess) web based tool, that we can share documents with other people in the organisation, and keep a track of changes.
One of my colleagues did send a link to a site that listed 109 different tools, but that's bit like looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack.
What are people using out there, what is good, what is bad and what is downright ugly?
Any help, advice or recommendations would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.
Re: Web based Document Repository
I have often used Lotus Notes/Domino for document management.
IMHO, it's the best for lots of Software Engineering document-related tasks.
Alas, it isn't cheap.
