Just ,I landed in Canada before couple of months. I have total 15 years of IT experience, out of which 7 years in software QA and testing and 8 years in software development.
I was with IBM India, Rational software Bangalore as Sr. QA engineer and played as lead role. I was responsible for Testing and delivery of Clear Quest and Project Console.
I do have expertise with winrunner, Test Director , Rational robot and Test Manager and PVCS Tracker ,Clear Quest. Here, i am facing a lot of problems. I am not able to understand the requirements.
I am facing the following problems during interview.
1. The Employer may require some specific skills which i don't have ( e.g. .net ,unix ,c++ scripting, silk performance knowledge) (The employer has to refer my resume before calling me for an interview)
2. Automation project presentation (in detail)
3. over qualified
4. some time ,they ask commands ( for automation tools)
I require some guideline ,what exactly employer is looking for in Canada ? I didn't find any challenging interview in Canada compare to India. I faced interview with IBM India for 5 phases (in detail),Microsoft, India and Hex aware, India etc.for lead level position. in canada ,to get middle level position is difficult.
I also require some contacts in Canada (Toronto) with whom i can discuss.

Interviews in a culture that you are familiar with can be difficult enough in a new culture you need to have an understanding of the differences.
You might also want to have your resume reviewed also so that it fits with Canadian culture.
