I received a letter from them this week with an invitation to join (no biggie - came from me subscribing to other mags I am sure), and it sounds pretty decent for the price with what you get, although not a lot directed toward software testing, but there seems to be a good deal of information to garner.
Pretty much just asking for input if anyone is, was, or knows of a member of this to see your thoughts, or to just find out if it is all a crock and not worth it.

So he gets some use out of the archives? That is pretty much all I'd be using as the periodicals don't really go into anything I am interested in beyond the one they send out for just joining.
The book archive and the online couses seems pretty decent for the $85 they are wanting me to spend for it. I guess I can give it a year, and then if it doesn't thrill me toward the end, I can always not renew
I just pulled my invitation out of the circular file to re-examine it. I like to save money and $106 isn't a bad savings. One of our testers is a member and snags a lot of info from their archives, but their periodicals are expensive and as you said, not directed at QA.
